Los pilotos Alessandro Botturi y Pol Tarrés regresan para la temporada 2023 a bordo de sus Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid equipadas con GYTR con la intención de mejorar los impresionantes resultados que lograron durante su primer año.

El proyecto Ténéré World Raid Team sigue creciendo y en 2023 ampliará su calendario para competir en cinco rallies. Tras comenzar su temporada en el Desert Challenge de Marruecos, el equipo también participará en el Hellas Rally (22-28 de mayo), el TransAnatolia (2-9 de septiembre) y el Tunisia Desert Challenge (octubre - fecha por confirmar), antes de terminar el año volviendo a trazar la ruta original París-Dakar en la Africa Eco Race (30 de diciembre - 14 de enero).

La nueva temporada también trae consigo una nueva dirección, con Marc Bourgeois asumiendo la gestión del equipo a través de su empresa MBSM en nombre de Yamaha. El exdirector oficial del equipo Yamaha Dakar y del Campeonato del Mundo de Enduro aporta una gran experiencia al proyecto y encabezará un nuevo y emocionante programa de Yamaha Motor Europe para 2023, la Ténéré Spirit Experience.

Más de 40.000 pilotos en toda Europa ya están disfrutando del motor, la ágil conducción y las serias capacidades off-road que hacen de la Teneré 700 una de las motos más versátiles jamás producidas por Yamaha. Haciendo honor a la herencia de la moto y ofreciendo una manera única para que la gente abrace su anhelo de aventura, para 2023, Yamaha Motor Europe está ofreciendo a los propietarios de Teneré la oportunidad de cumplir un sueño uniéndose al Ténéré World Raid Team en cada uno de los rallies en los que compiten.

En cada evento, hasta 20 clientes de la Ténéré Spirit Experience serán invitados con sus motos al rally, donde podrán pilotar partes de cada etapa mientras siguen una ruta paralela a la de los principales pilotos de la carrera. Los participantes viajarán y convivirán con el equipo Ténéré World Raid y los pilotos en el vivac, creando una experiencia única en la vida que les dará una idea de lo que es competir en Rally Raid y tal vez alimentar sus propias ambiciones de carrera.

A lo largo del año, varios invitados especiales participarán también en el Ténéré Spirit Experience, pilotando junto a los clientes y compartiendo con ellos sus conocimientos únicos y su pasión por las carreras. En el Morocco Desert Challenge, el primer invitado en unirse al programa es también el hombre que inspiró la decoración conmemorativa de las motos de carreras de Tarrés y Botturi, Stéphane Peterhansel. El francés es el competidor del Dakar más laureado de todos los tiempos, con seis victorias para Yamaha en la categoría de motos y otras ocho victorias sobre cuatro ruedas. Peterhansel acompañará a los pilotos del Ténéré Spirit Experience en Marruecos durante los cuatro últimos días del rally, regresando sobre dos ruedas al continente en el que escribió por primera vez su nombre en grande en los libros de récords.

El equipo Ténéré World Raid comienza su temporada en el Morocco Desert Challenge, que comienza en Agadir el 23 de abril con el Prólogo y recorre más de 2.000 km a través de ocho etapas antes de terminar en Merzouga el día 30.

Pol Tarrés (equipo Ténéré World Raid): "Estoy muy ilusionado con la nueva temporada. Es el segundo año para el equipo y mi segunda temporada compitiendo en Rally Raid. Mi primer año fue de aprendizaje, pero demostré mi potencial ganando mi categoría y terminando quinto en la general de la Africa Eco Race. El nuevo equipo de 2023 aporta un enorme conocimiento de las carreras al más alto nivel y, aunque todavía estoy aprendiendo, estoy entusiasmado con el potencial de lo que podemos conseguir. Creo que la Ténéré Spirit Experience es una idea increíble porque los clientes no solo podrán correr partes de las etapas que disputamos, sino que también vivirán junto a nosotros en el vivac, comiendo, durmiendo, haciendo de todo con el equipo, lo que es una experiencia única en la vida”.
