En Enduropro hemos probado las gafas Oakley Airbrake MX con la lente Prizm Torch Iridium y ya te adelanto que hemos acabado encantados con la calidad y buen hacer de este producto. Son unas gafas con un precio elevado pero que lo valen, veamos en detalle las Oakley Airbrake MX Prizm.

El mimo y la calidad de fabricación de estas gafas Oakley es muy bueno, se nota la experiencia de Oakley en la fabricación de gafas estando cada parte de la gafa bien diseñada, todo se encuentra en su sitio.

Los laterales del marco de la gafa son metálicos para conseguir más consistencia de la correa -con revestimiento de silicona para un ajuste más seguro- que en esta decoración tiene serigrafiado el ya característico logo de Oakley, que da una imagen sobria a la vez que elegante.

Respecto a la ventilación, nos ha parecido correcta, las gafas disponen de unas guías para dirigir el aire y conseguir que circule adecuadamente.

Las Oakley Airbrake MX disponen de la tecnología Oakley Switchlock, que te permite un cambio de lentes rápido y sencillo. En el paquete recibirás además de las gafas otras lentes transparentes, protector nasal extraíble así como una funda para viaje.

Las almohadillas interiores de espuma disponen de varias densidades para absorber el sudor así como para dejar el paso de aire y la verdad que en el contacto de la cara son materiales muy suaves. Por cierto, un detalle de calidad es que son extraíbles y reemplazables.

Las gafas son de generoso tamaño, digamos que son algo más grandes respecto a otras gafas que hemos probado y debes prestar atención si tu casco no dispone de una amplia abertura para gafas. Lo positivo es que tendrás un campo de visión muy grande y mayor protección en la cara.

Y llegamos al punto fuerte de estas gafas, su lente Prizm. Es una tecnología exclusiva de Oakley que consigue una visión muy nítida y precisa, con esta lente se mejora el contraste en una gran variedad de condiciones de luz.

 

  • El material de la lente es de alto impacto -Plutonite® lo denomina Oakley- moldeado por inyección y proporciona una protección del 100% contra los rayos UVA así como la luz azul dañina de hasta 400 nm.
  • En nuestro caso la lente es el modelo PRIZM MX TORCH IRIDIUM en tonos rojizos con una transmisión de luz del 40% para condiciones de luz parcialmente nublado. También lo hemos probado en días soleados y la visión es correcta por lo que podrás utilizarlo en distintas épocas del año. De todas maneras, Oakley dispone en el catálogo de estas mismas gafas con otro tipo de lente bien para días más nublados o días de sol extremo así que podrás encontrar la que más se adapte a tus necesidades.

La lente tiene revestimiento antivaho, está preparada para el uso de “roll-off” y gafas cumplen con la norma EN 1938 sobre protección ocular.

Hemos probado estas gafas en varias salidas y en distintas disciplinas como MX, enduro e incluso con motos trail y poco se puede objetar. Son unas gafas de estética brutal, ligeras, cómodas con gran nitidez en la visión, no se empañan y quedan de lujo con nuestro Bell Moto-9...

El único “pero” es el precio, el modelo que ves en las fotos tiene un precio recomendado de 154 euros, quizás algo alto pero ya te adelanto que si puedes permitirte el desembolso no te arrepentirás.
