La presentación internacional de la nuevas Husqvarna de enduro 2024 se realizó en Noruega. Fue un evento muy restringido, donde solo acudimos tres medios españoles para probar en exclusiva las novedades de la gama: los motores de 2T y 4T, chasis, subchasis, basculante, suspensiones de cartucho cerrado en el caso de la horquilla… Lo cierto es que nos mostraron máquinas prácticamente nuevas respecto a versiones anteriores.

La pequeña localidad de Dolen (Noruega) fue el centro neurálgico de la presentación de los nuevos modelos. A diferencia de otras presentaciones, el staff de Husqvarna dejo de lado el clásico recorrido para probar las motos y puso a nuestra disposición dos especiales bien distintas. Una era corta y rápida, mientras que la segunda mostraba las típicas características de un enduro test. Largo, técnico, cerrado y con piedras y raíces… Incluso zonas donde podías practicar hard enduro y descubrir lo positivo de las nuevas cajas de cambio de los 2T como de los nuevos motores 250 y 350 4T.

Gama Husqvarna Enduro 2024: De la caja a los circuitos

Por su puesto probamos toda la gama de modelos: la TE 150, TE 250 y TE 300 de 2 tiempos, hasta las 4T en sus diferentes versiones, FE 250, FE 350, FE 450 y FE 501. Un total de siete máquinas.

2T: Divertidos, no; lo siguiente

Dentro de esta nueva generación, todos los modelos de 2 tiempos cuentan ahora con nuevos motores alimentados con tecnología de inyección en el cuerpo de aceleración (TBI). El sistema TBI nos ofrece una potencia más consistente y controlable gracias a un propulsor más lleno a lo largo de todo su régimen. Sin embargo, nos llamó mucho la atención el desarrollo de las tres motos de 2T, porque han cambiado completamente. Si en las KTM estamos acostumbrados a 13 dientes en el piñón delantero y entre 50 y 52 en el trasero -dependiendo del modelo-, en este caso, no. Las Husqvarna de 2T giraban en torno 13/45, 13/46. Cuando preguntamos sobre el asunto a los ingenieros de la marca, nos dijeron que “debido a la nueva caja de cambio hemos decidido cambiar también el desarrollo”.

Personalmente, para abaratar los costes de la línea de producción, creo que la caja de cambio es la misma que la de los modelos de motocross y han querido suavizar la entrega de potencia modificando el desarrollo. Pero eso es una opinión y habrá que echarle el lazo a alguna unidad cuando esté disponible para probarla concienzudamente. Sea como fuere, el trío de 2T funcionan fenomenal, muy eléctricas, trepan por todos los sitios y empujan con brío. Pero la 150 2T me gustó especialmente y eso que por estatura y peso no es mi moto ideal. ¡Vas con el puño del gas siempre abierto! No obstante, eché de menos la 125 2T sobre todo para los más jóvenes, ya que tendrían la opción de compra con el carné A1 como hacen otras marcas.

La 250 y 300 2T son fantásticas. Nada que reprochar, si tuviera que escoger una me quedaría con el poderío de la mayor. Un motor tremendamente lleno y no mostró signos de flaqueza en ningún tramo de los dos circuitos seleccionados. ¡Brutal!

4T: Buscando la exquisitez

Los cuatro modelos de 4T comparten la misma parte ciclo que las 2T, pero sí hay un mayor número de cambios en la FE 250 y FE 350. Éstos se benefician de nuevos motores DOHC mucho más compactos. Están colocados en el chasis inclinados dos grados hacia atrás en comparación con la generación anterior y mejoran sustancialmente el par a bajo y alto régimen, ofreciéndonos una moto más ágil, de rápida respuesta, y eso se traduce en un paso hacia delante en la dinámica de motor. Está claro que aquí está la mano del piloto oficial de KTM Josep García y que ahora nos beneficiamos todos los mortales.

En el caso de la FE 450, para mí es el motor más fácil de llevar de todas las 4T. De cara a un usuario de nivel medio/alto es ideal por la “chicha” que ofrece desde muy bajas revoluciones. Mientras que la FE 501 ya exige bastante por su alucinante par y potencia. Requiere un muy buen nivel de forma física si quieres practicar enduro con ella, pero muestra grandes cualidades en pistas rápidas, donde podremos sacar provecho a esa tremenda energía que muestra.

Hay que destacar que el motor de la FE 450 y 501 es el mismo que el de sus antecesoras, sobre todo en la cuestión de relación de desarrollo; y efectivamente ese 13/50 o 13/52 no lo veíamos montado en estos modelos. Ha habido cambios internos de motorización, pero no gran cosa. Su comportamiento nos pareció prácticamente el mismo que el de los modelos de 2023. En contra, vuelve a pasar los mismo que los motores pequeños de 4T, tanto en el 250 como el 350, que nos extrañaba mucho ese 13/45 o ese 13/46 en cuando a desarrollo de piñón y corona.

Tal y como la sacas de la caja, cualquiera de la gama de 4T, es una moto fabricada para competir. Han cambiado la horquilla por una WP XACT de doble cartucho cerrado que incorpora un pistón de válvula central para un rendimiento constante y muy efectiva cuando sabes sacarle su máximo provecho; pero a mi entender, para un nivel “usuario” es demasiado rígida, demasiado dura. Si gran parte de la clientela de KTM se quejaba en los últimos años que la horquilla WP XPLOR era muy blanda, creo que ahora va a pasar todo lo contrario si el uso que le vamos a dar es de dominguero o más amateur.

Conclusión

Sí, la nueva gama Husqvarna de enduro 2024 es de lo mejorcito que hay en el mercado. Con diferencias respecto a las KTM 2024 que probamos hace unos pocos días como la parte de frenado, donde en este caso nos encontramos un nuevo sistema de frenos BRAKTEC con discos GSK que proporciona un mordiente superior, quizá igual un poco agresivo en algo de los modelos, pero de excelente tacto.

Está claro que aprovechando el 120 aniversario de la marca han dado un importante paso adelante. En el caso de los 4T marcan aún más diferencias con la competencia incorporando cambio quickshifter -a partir de la segunda velocidad puedes cambiar sin embrague- y control de tracción.
